We will present the danger of drones in our public life and the possibility to use this technology by terrorists and criminals. It applies to the information collection, surveillance, and reconnaissance, combat purposes, and detection of mines. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be used for smuggling items over borders or in restricted areas, to avoid the exposure of illegal things or to avoid taxing. A drone can carry an HD camera to fly over sensitive places for spying and collect secrete private information. In this presentation,
we will shed some light on the dangers of the illicit use of UAVs (also known as drones). Based on the new practices of Western militaries in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, it is possibly unsurprising that much of the current worry about the use of low-cost and modified drones has focused on their use as a supply system for explosive devices (Rassler, 2017). Modified drones carrying decoy improvised explosive devices (IEDs) could further increase the physical separation between regimes and militants in violent combat. They have used drones in civilian areas, causing massive damage to airports, oil and gas stations, and
civilian infrastructure. The US Department of homeland security declared an intelligence assessment warning of the possibility to use commercial UAVs by terrorist groups, drug dealers, and organized crime. The Counter-Terrorism The committee and it's Executive Directorate (CTED) report explain the use of modified drones by militant terrorists encompass four interlinked and overlapping areas: surveillance, disruption, attacks, and propaganda (CTED, 2019). Intending to enhance organizational reputation, many militants fighting in Yemen, Iraq, Libya, and Syria have used modified drones extensively to film fighting and martyrdom operations. The CTED issued the trends alert following increased concern from the member states to the potential hazards posed by terrorist use of drones. Unmanned aircraft systems, colloquially known as drones, comprise a full HD camera, including a remote pilot and the method of navigation between a lot of positions (Wi-Fi, RF, GPS, GNSS).
