Wireless Power Charging

Updated: May 11, 2020

In a wireless power transmission system, a transmitter device, driven by electric power from a power source, generates a time-varying electromagnetic field, which transmits power across space to a receiver device, which extracts power from the field and supplies it to an electrical load.

The purpose of this presentation is to present a nourishing technique for charging the battery of X-ray robot Crawler inside the truck line. The Wireless Power Transmission device is composed of a microwave source and a receiver. Our system based on the principle to transfer the microwave energy inside- through - the oil and gas pipeline. The notion is to use the pipeline as a wave-guide to reduce the attenuation of energy as well as to exploit the power recovered by the antenna. Receiving and converting microwave energy into DC-current based by the antenna a large area, allows having relatively high effective radiated power and acceptable gain. This book also proposes a wireless energy transfer system targeted at delivering enough power to a battery at a distance of 2 km to be able to power a 25.5 W battery of a robot Crawler inside the pipeline.
